President and Principal


Michael is a charter member of Omni Architects, where his design acumen has significantly contributed to the consistent growth and success of the practice. He has advanced the relevance of design through an inclusive team methodology that results in buildings that achieve our clients’ objectives: to improve the users’ quality of life through architecture.
Michael’s projects have received dozens of Honor or Merit Awards for Design Excellence from the East Kentucky Chapter of the AIA, the Masonry Institute, Associated General Contractors, and other industry associations.
In 2017, Michael was elected into the American Institute of Architects' College of Fellows, an honor that is bestowed upon members who have demonstrated exceptional work and have made contributions to architecture and society.
As part of his passion for sharing knowledge and giving back to his profession, Michael has served as a design studio instructor at the University of Kentucky’s School of Architecture, where he has participated in exhibited, published, and lectured. His academic awards include the Distinguished Service Award; Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society’s Silver Medal for Distinction in Design and Education; the 2009 Teach of the Year Award for Excellence; and the 2014 Faculty Excellence Award for Service.
