Omni Architects Expands Workforce Training Design Beyond Kentucky
Omni Architects has reached an exciting milestone in our practice: our first advanced manufacturing and workforce training facility outside the Commonwealth of Kentucky. We’ve been selected to design a transformative new center for the City of Carthage, Mississippi—a project that represents not only geographic growth for our firm, but a continued commitment to empowering communities through education and innovation.
For more than two decades, Omni has pioneered the design of purpose-built workforce training centers, partnering closely with clients, educators, and industry leaders to create facilities that respond directly to the needs of local manufacturers and job creators. This legacy of responsive, future-ready design has shaped more than a dozen facilities across Kentucky—and now, we’re honored to bring that same expertise to Carthage.
Developed in partnership with Jackson-based architecture firm Canizaro Cawthon Davis, the new Carthage facility will serve as a vital hub for hands-on training, skill development, and economic advancement. From flexible lab and classroom spaces to industry-informed layouts and integrated technology, the center is being designed to support a resilient and adaptive workforce for years to come.
This project is more than a building—it’s a bold investment in the people of Carthage and the region’s long-term prosperity. We’re proud to be part of this journey and look forward to sharing more as the design progresses.
