Boone County Public Library Walton Branch Receives IIDA Honor Award

The Walton Branch of the Boone County Public Library was recognized with an Honor Award in the Culture category from the International Interior Design Association Ohio Kentucky Chapter. The award celebrates individuals, firms, and projects that demonstrate excellence in interior design and meaningful impact within their communities.

Designed by Omni Architects, the Walton Branch was envisioned as a welcoming destination for multi-generational users—a true community crossroads. The interior planning carefully balances active and quiet zones, thoughtfully separating children’s play areas from serene reading spaces to ensure comfort for all patrons.

Durable yet comfortable furnishings were selected to support daily use while maintaining a warm, inviting atmosphere. Abundant daylighting and expansive views of the surrounding landscape connect visitors to nature, reinforcing the library’s role as both a civic landmark and a place of respite.

This recognition affirms the shared vision between Omni Architects and Boone County Public Library: to create an inspiring, inclusive environment where learning, gathering, and discovery thrive. We are proud of this honor and grateful for the opportunity to help shape a vibrant new chapter for the Walton community.
