A message of thanks from Omni Architects

As the end of our 50th anniversary year approaches, we reflect on the many things we've celebrated this year: we had opportunities to design projects that support our mission of creating spaces that foster education, community connection, and a stronger Kentucky; we collaborated with Bullhorn Creative to launch a new website that truly embodies our culture and the work generated through our inclusive process; and we released a video to commemorate this milestone that truly captures the essence of Omni's culture. In July, we brought together Omnies old and new, friends, family, and clients and consultants who feel like family to celebrate fifty years of design across Kentucky.

Throughout the year, we paused from our keyboards for daily walks and to celebrate both personal and professional milestones. We welcomed Mara, Leo, and Jamal to our team, and wished MaKayla well when she moved to South Carolina to pursue her master's degree. We shared our knowledge and experience at conferences, received design awards, and reflected on how fortunate we are to do this every day!

At the same time, we met the challenges of this profession every day: working with great rigor to maintain schedules and budgets, resolving issues fast to keep projects moving forward, pursuing work that fulfills our mission and sparks our creativity while attempting to remain profitable, and very often spending more waking hours with our Omni family than with our own loved ones - knowing all the while that this is the profession we would choose again and again.  

So many people play a role in Omni's success. We are grateful to our clients, past and present, for entrusting us to create spaces that support their missions and enrich the lives of many; our design and engineering consultants, who are true collaborators and essential team members throughout the entire design and construction process; our loyal and dedicated Omni team members, who work side by side to meet countless deadlines and strive for new levels of excellence every day. Lastly, we extend our deepest gratitude to our families, who step up in numerous ways, enabling us to commit the time and energy needed to realize our clients' vision.

Today, Omni is led by President Eric Zabilka and his partner Chad Gallas. Together, they consistently demonstrate the highest level of design excellence, technical execution, and client service - the three pillars that have guided our mission from the start. As a legacy firm, we develop leadership from within to ensure brand continuity and strength, and Chad and Eric are already providing the tools and mentorship needed to develop the next generation of Omni's leadership.
