We use a variety of methods to communicate our ideas and design solutions.

DRAWINGS
The most common tool of architects, drawings are two-dimensional diagrams of three-dimensional space. Drawings can be very technical, with notes and dimensions, or rendered in color for formal presentations.
DIGITAL RENDERINGS
Generated on the computer, these images convey three-dimensional information in two-dimensions. Sometimes the renderings are very realistic, with shadows and true-color textures. Sometimes they are very abstract, with translucent forms for a clearer understanding of spatial relationships.
PHYSICAL MODELS Physical models are often the most engaging form of representation because they are easily understood by viewers not familiar with technical drawings. Models can be very detailed for formal presentations, or they can be quick paper and scissors design explorations.
DIGITAL MODELS
These are essentially digital renderings that move. Using specialized software, we can fly around the building’s exterior, or walk through the interior.
BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING (BIM)
We have been working with our clients and consultants to realize the full potential of this tool for several years, having implemented various levels of BIM on a number of projects. We have found that using BIM can increase team collaboration, improve our ability to meet accelerated schedules, and aid in accurate cost estimating. This tool is particularly helpful for end users who sometimes struggle to understand two-dimensional drawings.
